Our weekend started with a yummy
McDonalds Breakfast that included hotcakes, muffins,
hashbrowns and hot chocolate. It was such a treat!
As we left, there was a group of people playing American soft ball.
Then we stopped at Cookie Time to buy some biscuits for our trip ....
mmmm delicious!
In
Rakaia we saw a GIANT salmon. The area is well known for salmon fishing.
Next stop was
Ashburton. There is a huge clock in the middle of town. It produces the most amazing sound ever. We witnessed the 11 o'clock ring and it was beautiful. After that, we quickly popped into the art gallery and saw some interesting art work from the locals. We weren't allowed to take photos inside.
In the background is the "Big Ben" with lovely fountains.
