Happy Birthday Beautiful Girl!

Today is Nicolene's 12th birthday. Wow, I can't believe I've been a mommy for 12 years. She is the most wonderful and precious daughter any parent could ask for!

Fallen tree

Today our tree decided to fall over on the drive way. Thank goodness the car wasn't parked there. The wind was gusty all day long with lots of rain. Now we are wondering if the earthquake shook up the tree and the wind gave it it's final blow!?!?

Michelle's 9th birthday

On the 9th of April it was Michelle's 9th birthday! They had loads of fun with lots of games and yummy food to eat.  They also had fun decorating their own cupcakes with a few weird and wonderful creations.

Piano fun

We were very fortunate to discover this old beauty in Warren's garage. The girls fell in love with her the moment they laid eyes on her.....and the music hasn't stopped since! Next stop....piano lessons.

Auckland

We were fortunate to go to Auckland for a week and a bit to get away from all the devastation and chaos in Christchurch. Sandra and her family treated us like royalty. We went bowling one night and also went to the Sky Tower for meal. We did lots and lots of retail therapy! A huge thank you to the Pringles for taking care of us!!!

21/02/2011 The day before the big 'Qauke...

The day before it all happened we had a lovely picnic at Spencer Park. No way did we think we will relive another earthquake, but we did. Thank goodness we were all safe and able to get home in one piece. There were unfortunately people that didn't have it that great.
