Diamond Harbour
The Dawn Princess was in Lyttelton harbour this morning.
The Dawn Princess from Diamond Harbour.
Picnic at Diamond Harbour gardens close to the wharf. The weather was very kind to us. This was also our first visit to Diamond Harbour. We decided to drive there this morning and got to see all the bays around there too. Governors Bay is one of our favourites. Mum felt pretty sick going there and decided to take the wheel. Next time we will definitely take the Ferry. Unfortunately Godly House was closed due to the recent earthquake.

Christmas BBQ
We spent a lovely afternoon with friends Ray and Cath and their four children. Yummy steak, cherry bacon bites, shrimps, kransky's and salads featured on our menu. For dessert we had meringues with cream and boysenberries, jelly, ice-cream, chocolate strawberries and trifle. We were sooo stuffed after wards and really thankful this happens only once a year!
Earlier in the day we had a brunch with bacon and eggs, waffles, mushrooms and champagne.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Lunar Eclipse 21/12/2010
Here are a couple of photos of the tail end of the recent lunar eclipse on the 21 Dec 2010. According to Ken Ring from www.predictweather.com an eclipse can cause either an earthquake, volcanic erruption or tsunami within two weeks of an eclipse. Good reading for anyone interested! And yes, he was on the mark. We have been having a series of aftershocks in the last 24 hours. The biggest one being 4.9 this morning (26 Dec 2010) at 10.07.

Candid camera
Keren's attempt at taking photos - not too bad!
This one Daddy took of us the night before Ouma left for Auckland.
Outstanding student
Nicolene finished primary school and is on her way to intermediate next year. She was so surprised that she
received the Windsor "Outstanding Positive Attitude and Enthusiastic Approach to Learning" Award. She also received her punamo for completing all her pride challenges during the year.
Well done Nicolene!

Living Springs
Oh boy, did we have fun at Living Springs today! We went on a tractor ride, horse rides, milked a cow and even saw a man shear a sheep. We fed the sheep, lamas and a very cute donkey and pony.
